What To Eat
Churros
If you're staying in Lima be sure to check out Manolo for amazing churros!
Manjar Blanco was my personal favorite - delicious! It's milk chocolate filling! You cant eat just one.
Ceviche
Travellers advice: Although many travel doctors recommend not eating ceviche since it is raw fish it is a peruvian delicacy that must be tried. Try to find a more upscale restaurant in Lima as it is closer to the water so the food will be fresher.
Additional advice: The photo on the right is of a ceviche dish I tried in Lima. We were adventurous and let the waiter choose some typical Peruvian dishes for us to try.

Inca Cola and Chica Morado
Inca Cola, yellow colored soda, was actually bought by Coca Cola due to it's popularity amongst Peruvians. It is sold all over and tastes a bit like Bubblegum.
Chicha Morado is made from a specific type of corn that is the color purple.
Both drinks are staples in Peru and can be found almost everywhere.

Cancha
This was my favorite snack to eat while in Peru. Famous in South America it's made from a corn called Maiz Chulpe that when made the proper way gets toasted and crunchy. A perfect snack for long trips on busess, boats etc.
