Lake Titicaca
Located in the city of Puno, Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world. So many beautiful sites to see including the spectacular floating islands where one can hop on and see the culture of the native people living on the lake.
Interesting fact: Lake Titicaca can be assessed through both Peru and Bolivia. Look out for Bolivia while on the water!
Amazon Basin
The Amazon runs through many South American countries and it is a must-see for those who are adventurous. Take out your bug spray and waterresistnat clothing because not only is it humid and often rainy, it is filled with wildlife. If you're lucky enough you can see some of the most deadly animals around.

Lima
Lima is not only the capital of Peru but it is also one of the most populated city in Peru. It is a bustling city with an overwhelming amount of people.It is very americanized and keep your eyes open for Starbucks and McDonalds located around the main cities. Be sure to check out the changing of the guards at the Plaza Des Armas everyday at 12. If you happen to be in Lima during the warmer season head to Miraflores to check out the beautiful beach and to eat at La Rosa Nautica which is right on the water.

Enjoy the most beautiful Peruvian sunset atop the sand dunes located in Ica, Huacachina. There is not much else to see in this town but the beautiful lagoon surrounded by the dunes is an absolute must-see.

Cusco City
Deep in the Andes at an extreme high altitude you can find the city of Cusco (or Cuzco). There you can find beautiful architecture surrounded by mountains. An extremely touristy and vibrant city.

- ChocoMuseum: take a chocolate class where you can bring home your creations
- Salinas de Maras: Beautiful salt mines outside of the main city
- Plaza Des Armas: Check out the Starbucks in the main square! Beautiful views.
- Mercado San Pedro: Amazing markets! Read more about it in my highlights page
- Christo Blanco: Climb up the mountain in Plaza Des Armas to not only see the view but to see the giant Jesus statue.
